We store payment methods for our invoices. I created an invoice for a contact we already have a saved payment method. The invoice had a future due date from when it was created/opened. When the due date arrived the invoice was not automatically paid. In the UI I can use the menu “Charge payment method” however. My question: is there a way to have invoices charge payment automatically when due. And if not, is there an automation (task or custom code action/API) that I can use to charge the payment method on the due date. I can’t really use Subscriptions if you are thinking of a workaround. First, we have variable invoice structure. Think 20% discount year 1, 15% disocunt year 2, 8% discount year 3, no dicount year 4. In today’s Hubspot I would have to make 4 subscpriptions. Secondarily, we may want to push back a due date on say year 2 because client asked for more time. We need the flexibilty of using standalone invoices, but (ideally) still be able to charge the stored payment method automatically vs manually in the UI.
