We need a persistent way of reffering to a deal, and we thought “Record ID” would be a good fit.
We have a deal that has changed the “Record ID” and we are not sure why. We think it might be when the “Deal Name” is changed, but it doesn’t seem to reliably change the Record ID. Right now we have a deal that has two Record ID’s
- The original from when the deal was created: 46257149780
- The current Record ID: 51268352519
Going to the URL of the old Record ID:

redirects to the URL of the new Record (correct deal)

Wish:
- We would like to have an ID that is a persistent way of uniquely reffering to a deal.
- We would like to be able to change the “Deal Name”, without influencing the ID.
- Note: We are not merging deals.
