Hi everyone,
We’re trying to set up the Microsoft Teams integration with HubSpot and are running into issues with the HubSpot bot not installing correctly.
What we’re seeing in HubSpot
On the Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps → Microsoft Teams → General settings → My settings screen, we see this banner:
The automatic installation of the bot failed. Install the HubSpot bot from the Microsoft Teams marketplace.
My HubSpot user and Microsoft Teams user are mapped correctly (emails match and show as connected), but the error banner won’t go away and we’re not receiving HubSpot notifications in Teams.
What our IT team sees in Microsoft Teams
Our IT support has already:
Allowed the HubSpot app in the Teams admin center
Tried installing the HubSpot app/bot for me
However, they’re getting this message from Microsoft:
“Microsoft has migrated tenants to the newer ‘App centric management’ model.”
From that point, it looks like the automatic bot installation from HubSpot fails, and we’re not sure what additional config is needed under this new “app centric management” model.
What I’m looking for
Has anyone else run into this combination of errors (automatic bot install failed in HubSpot + “App centric management” message in Teams)?
If so, what exact steps or policies did your Microsoft 365/Teams admin configure to get the HubSpot bot working again?
Do we need a specific app permission policy or setup flow for HubSpot under the new app‑centric model?
Any screenshots, step‑by‑step guidance, or examples of your Teams admin configuration for the HubSpot app would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
