Huge lag in gmail when hubspot extension enabled

I have been experiencing a terrible lag in my gmail when seraching for old emails going to respond to longer email thread emails that started happening about 2 weeks ago. I have to disable the extension for gmail to work properly. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue and been able to resolve it as of yet? Maybe there is an updated extension somewhere? I am using the free version for email clicks and enagaement activity tracking. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thak you!
