I wanted to share something we just built that solves a problem I’ve seen come up repeatedly in the forums—especially for those in healthcare, government contracting, financial services, and other regulated industries.
The Challenge:
How do you collect sensitive information through web forms when you need strict compliance (HIPAA, ITAR, FedRAMP, SOC 2)? HubSpot forms are amazing for conversion, but if you’re collecting protected health info, controlled technical data, or regulated documents, you need those files in compliant storage from the moment of submission.
What We Built:
A form solution through Box Connector that gives you the best of both worlds:
- Form sits on your compliant infrastructure (FedRAMP server, HIPAA-compliant host, etc.)
- Created via HubSpot Forms API – so it’s a real HubSpot form
- Your team can edit it anytime using standard HubSpot tools
- Contact data flows into HubSpot normally
- File uploads go directly to Box (which has SOC 2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, ITAR compliance)
- Box files auto-link to the contact record
The Flow:
- Someone submits the form
- Contact info → HubSpot (triggers your workflows)
- Files → Box compliant storage (never touches non-compliant infrastructure)
- Everything links together automatically
